A risk assessment is a process of evaluating what can affect the health and safety of employees at work and others on or visiting the premises. Childcare provisions need to pay particular attention to the risks to children. Risk assessments need to be reviewed to make sure they are still valid, for example, after an accident, or when there has been a significant change in the workplace.
This process will be made easier by using the Croner-i Early Years Risk Assessment Tool. The tool allows you to create and review risk assessments, generate statistics of different locations and print and e-mail completed risk assessments and general action plans. It is available in the “tools” section on the left hand side of the homepage.
